SICILY. Katane. Circa 210-200 BC. AE (Bronze, 22 mm, 10.50 g, 12 h). KATANAI-ΩN Head of Hermes to right, wearing winged petasos. Rev. Nike advancing left, holding wreath in her right hand and palm frond in her left; in field to left, two monograms; in field to right, monogram. Basel 343 (this coin). CNS III, 14. SNG ANS 1295. SNG München 488. An unusually attractive example of this difficult late issue. A few deposits, otherwise, good very fine.
